Kodiak Power Cakes Healthy Protein Waffle Recipe

These Kodiak Power Cakes waffles are a delicious, protein-packed breakfast made with wholesome ingredients like whole grains and are easily customizable with your favorite add-ins.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes Buttermilk Flapjack and Waffle Mix
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips or berries optional
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  • Preheat the waffle iron to medium-high heat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes mix, egg, water (or milk), applesauce (if using), vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if using). Mix until smooth.
  • Lightly grease the waffle iron with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Pour the waffle batter into the waffle iron, using a ladle or measuring cup, enough to cover the waffle grid.
  • Cook according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually around 3-5 minutes, or until the waffles are golden brown and crisp. Carefully remove the waffles from the iron and serve them hot.
