Copycat Starbucks Pistachio Latte Recipe (+Nutrition Facts)
Enjoy a homemade copycat Starbucks pistachio latte with rich brown butter and real pistachios, perfect for cozy mornings or a sweet treat.
For the Browned Butter:
- 8 oz salted or unsalted butter
For the Pistachio Latte:
- 1 oz espresso shot of Starbucks Espresso Roast
- 2 tbsps pistachio syrup
- 1/2 tbsp browned butter
- 8 oz whole milk
- 1 tsp crushed shortbread cookies for garnish
For the Browned Butter:
Place butter in a light-colored pan over medium to medium-low heat. Stir gently as the butter melts. It will foam and gradually turn a golden-brown color. Continue stirring until the foam settles and the milk solids begin to brown at the bottom.
Once the butter is browned, remove it from the heat and store it in a heatproof container for later use.
For the Pistachio Latte:
Prepare an espresso shot using Starbucks Espresso Roast or your favorite espresso beans.
In a mug, combine pistachio syrup and browned butter. Stir gently to combine.
Froth the milk using a milk frother, or by shaking the milk in a mason jar and microwave it for 30 seconds to froth. Pour the frothed milk over the espresso and syrup mixture in your mug.
Sprinkle crushed shortbread cookies on top for a sweet, crunchy garnish.
