In case you’ve just tuned in, every Wednesday I share some of the foods I eat in a day. Thanks to Jenn at Peas and Crayon for hosting What I Ate Wednesday!
A new year is approaching in just a few hours! Are you ready for the ball drop? 2014 was a big year for TTB. I have had the blog since 2012 but only until this year did I make a conscious decision to post more often, more consistently, and I hope to continue to do so next year. This blog would not exist if it wasn’t for you coming back day after day, so thanks a million!
Onto the WIAW segment…How’s everyone doing getting back on track after Christmas? After several days of eating and drinking, I was more than ready for some healthy eats.
For breakfast, I had a big scoop of Greek yogurt drizzled with honey and topped with Nature’s Path Hemp Plus Granola. I saw a documentary recently about the Bama people in China who are known for having many inhabitants live to be more than 100 years old, and one of their secrets to longevity is the consumption of hemp seeds. Hemp seeds don’t really have a strong taste, so why not, right?
Snack at 12pm was a Comice pear. It’s sweet, juicy, and seasonal, so I try to get ’em while I can.
It was a ghost town at the office today just like every day this week, but it was nice to catch up on work and check some tasks off my list without interruption. I left work early and skipped lunch, but I made sure to bring home the box of chocolate my coworker gave me. It’s from Fika, one of my favorite coffee shops in the city!
I ate a milk chocolate truffle filled with sea salt caramel and it was divine.
Alright, time for me to get ready for tonight. We have a dinner reservation at an Italian restaurant later to ring in 2015 with friends. Whatever your plans are, I hope you have a fun and safe celebration!
Here’s to a tasty 2014 and an even tastier 2015! Cheers!
