Pineapple Detox Green Smoothie is packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and all that good stuff!
It sure did not look pretty, but, I did it. My sisters have been telling me about Jillian Michaels’ exercise routines for a long time, and I finally jumped on the bandwagon, huffing and puffing my way through my first few workouts. I tried the 6 Week Six-Pack Abs first, decided I didn’t like the exercises as much, and then went right into the 30 Day Shred. The workout is a beast and I can feel every single muscle in my body afterwards. I’m still on Level One, but hopefully I’ll be able to move onto Levels Two and Three, and actually keep this thing going for 30 days!
After my exercise routines, I have been replenishing and re-hydrating with coconut water. I have also been using it as a base in smoothies, like this Pineapple Green Detox Smoothie I’ve been drinking up.
For the longest time, I swore off all green juices and smoothies because the look of them was just…unappealing. Last week, I had a small amount of kale leaves leftover from another recipe, and not wanting to throw it out, I decided to throw it in my smoothie.
Guess what? Like everyone else said, it’s pretty good! The flavors of the sweet pineapple and mango tame the bitterness of kale, and it’s a nice way to incorporate more greens into my diet.
Let’s just say I’ve turned over a new leaf :) The flavors remind me of the tropical drinks we had when we were in Hawaii, except those were loaded with sugar and alcohol. These, on the other hand, are packed with fruits and vegetables, fiber, vitamins, antioxidants, and all that good stuff. If you’ve never tried a green smoothie, this is a good place to start!

I’ve never tried green smoothies either. Seems like I really gotta give it a try!
