A classic crispy fish sandwich goes to the next level when it’s served with quick pickled vegetables and drizzled with sweet and spicy sriracha aioli! This Beer Battered Fish Banh Mi Sandwich is an easy weeknight meal that’s loaded with flavor.
Hey there, I’ve got a great seafood dish for you today…and it’s about as easy as it gets! Fast, fresh, and simple to make, this easy and delicious meal is ready in no time.
I am a huge seafood lover – always have been, and always will be. Fish is a low-fat protein filled with omega-3 fatty acids and a great source of vitamins and minerals. Since having fish two times a week can lead to a healthy lifestyle, I have been looking to get more creative in the kitchen with fish recipes and add a few more tasty dishes to my repertoire. So, I came up with these delicious, flavor-packed sandwiches: crispy, beer-battered fillets are nestled on a toasted roll and topped with crunchy pickled vegetables and creamy sriracha aioli.
This simple meal takes advantage of freezer staples and a handful of fresh ingredients for a nourishing meal that comes together quickly!
FISH BANH MI SANDWICHES ARE FAST, HEALTHY, AND FILLING
This fish sandwich recipe is indeed fast, healthy, and filling. To make these sandwiches in a pinch, Gorton’s Beer Battered Fish Fillets is the key! I keep a variety of Gorton’s Seafood in my freezer because I never know when I’ll need an easy seafood meal. These fish fillets bake up nicely – super crispy and golden brown on the outside, delicate, tender and flaky inside.
While the fish is baking in the oven, I make a quick pickling liquid with salt, vinegar, and sugar, and toss in carrots and daikon. If you can’t find daikon in your grocery store, feel free to substitute with broccoli slaw mix – it works just as well.
Gorton’s is my go-to brand for Fish Fridays and I can turn to delicious upgraded products such as Fish Sticks and Fish Sandwich Fillets. Now made with whole fillets of Alaska Pollock (never minced) and flash frozen to lock in maximum flavor and nutrition, they’re a convenient, real meal protein I love to serve.
