Greek Yogurt and Fruit Energy Bowl is packed with all kinds of good stuff that give you plenty of energy to help you power through the day!
I’m officially on Thanksgiving break!
Well, one I’ve created for myself. The next week and a half will be filled with food, travelling, hiking, and absolutely no work because James and I are spending the holiday in Taiwan! He is already there visiting friends, and I’ll be flying out tonight to join him — we’ve got some adventures up our sleeves!
In other news, you may have seen that I’ve posted about the trip we took to San Francisco over the weekend, where we ate and drank to our hearts’ content. This morning I woke up feeling like I needed to shovel as much fruits and vegetables into my body as I could. Seeing how little fruits and dairy I ate the past couple of days, I kicked things off with a Greek Yogurt and Fruit Energy Bowl. As the name implies, the yogurt bowl is packed with all kinds of good stuff that give you plenty of energy to help you power through the day: fresh fruits, protein-packed yogurt, nutty granola.
I discovered Jamba Juice’s energy bowls few weeks ago, and based on what I have tried so far, I am in love with their Fruit and Yogurt Bowls (I didn’t like the Acai Bowls).
Borrowing the concept, I made my own this morning. Fresh blueberries, pineapple chunks, banana slices, and crunchy granola piled on a bowl of Greek yogurt blended with almond milk, banana, and flax seeds. Last but not least, a drizzle of honey on top for a hint of sweetness. This is the ultimate detox breakfast that will keep you satisfied for hours! Make sure when you get a blender that you compare some of them like these nutri ninja vs nutribullet.
I’m all about making healthy eating choices as often as I can. I enjoy fried chicken and pizza occasionally, but most of the time I try to eat fresh, wholesome foods. Thanksgiving is coming up and in order to keep holiday weight gain at bay, get your spoon ready for some Greek Yogurt and Fruit Energy Bowl!

Before signing off, I just want you to know that I’ll be keeping you in mind while I’m away. From now until the New Year, I will be giving away lots of food-related goodies from my favorite brands, starting with the OXO giveaway I posted last Friday. We will also be doing a mini contest where we put the magic bullet vs nutribullet to see who wins. In case you missed that one, I am giving away a $50 Gift Card from Jamba Juice so you too can enjoy some healthy juices and smoothies between the big feasts! You have until November 30th at 12AM EST to enter. Good luck guys!
Giveaway is now over.
