These easy to make Italian Caprese Meatball Sliders are the perfect appetizer or main dish. Made with Italian meatballs, marinara sauce and topped with lots of melty cheese, fresh basil, and juicy tomatoes – they’re super delicious and ready in no time!

These sliders started with mini slider buns or soft dinner rolls, then topped with meatballs. I used Carando Abruzzese Italian Style Meatballs which I picked up from the refrigerated section of the meat department.

No one can resist the deliciousness of these Italian meatballs served on super soft slider buns. Each bite has so many layers of flavors.. you can’t eat just one.
To make this a complete meal, pair them with a Caesar salad or Italian antipasto pasta salad.
Italian Caprese Meatball Sliders
Ingredients
- 1 16 oz package Carando Abruzzese Italian Style Meatballs
- 12 mini slider buns or dinner rolls
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded pizza cheese blend
- 2 roma tomatoes sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook meatballs according to package directions, pressing them with a spatula to flatten slightly.
- Meanwhile, preheat the broiler.
- Arrange slider buns cut side up on a baking sheet. Place a spoonful of marinara sauce on the bun, meatball, and top with shredded cheese.
- Place under the broiler until cheese is melted, about 1-2 minutes.
- Remove and garnish with tomato slices and basil. Cover with the top half of buns before serving.
